As Singapore's leading and pioneer energy and building management solution provider, our partner needed to revamp existing systems as they prepared to expand globally.
With millions of sensors and data on a single platform, we created a unified, modular yet scalable platform to enable real-time remote access to critical building functions for monitoring, while making fast changes to manage faults without being on site.
The Challenge
Selling IoT solutions required a lot of time and effort due to complex technical specifications, unique to every of their customer. Often times, engineers and developers dedicate time to customising for each individual client - There was a need to reinvent the entire system to be more intuitive in terms of navigation and logical flow yet easily customisable.
On top of that, with new emerging technologies comes new tools and needs. Our client wanted the ability to incorporate new AI engines, support data analytics and Business Intelligent tools such as Tableau.
In the previous system, the layout and navigation was confusing, whereby end customers had a tough time finding the information they needed.
Any updates or requirements had to be done backend which needed man-days and downtime.
Through testing the usability, end-users often abandoned actions as they could not find what they were looking for or did not know the function existed.

In the previous system, updating schematics and layout of sensors on floor plans had to be done at the backend which
required man-days and downtime. The new platform is designed to allow full configurability with a drag-and-drop approach.
